Simple to use, the Babysense II alerts you with an alarm if your baby’s breathing becomes abnormally slow or if breathing and motion stop. These could be signs of central apnea, which is considered one of the causes of Infant Cot Death (SIDS). Normal breathing and motion patterns trigger a flashing green light which can be seen clearly from a distance, giving you peace of mind. The Babysense monitor constantly senses and responds to your baby’s breathing movement. If your baby stops breathing for 20 seconds or if the breathing rate drops below 10 breaths a minute, a loud alarm is sounded. The Babysense 2 includes two sensor panels which fit under the mattress (up to 14cm), to achieve highest sensitivity to your baby’s slightest movements without touching your baby. The sensors are connected to the convenient battery operated control unit, clipped to the side of your baby’s bed. There is no connection to an electrical outlet, the pads are passive and do not carry electric current nor radiate any energy.BabySense II is the only monitor devoted to apnea, with no other features integrated. The system works as an isolated unit and no other applicants such as telephones or other monitors can interfere with the breathing monitoring.
